RIT Capital Partners plc (RIT) was founded as the Rothschild Investment Trust in 1971. Today, RIT is listed on the London Stock Exchange’s FTSE 250 Index as one of the UK’s largest investment trusts, with total assets of approximately £4 billion. The Rothschild family remain the largest shareholder.
RIT is managed by its wholly owned subsidiary, J. Rothschild Capital Management Limited (JRCM).
Our purpose is to grow our shareholders’ wealth meaningfully over time by investing it in opportunities that offer compelling value but are difficult to access.
We can access them through our global relationships and reputation as a partner of choice; our flexibility to invest across capital structures, asset classes and geographies; and our unique blend of in-house experts and external managers.
The result? A diversified, resilient, global portfolio. Curated and risk managed with the utmost attention to detail to deliver compelling, long-term growth for shareholders.
RIT is led by an experienced Board of Directors and a highly skilled investment management team whose collective expertise spans public equities, private assets, credit markets and beyond.
