Thrive made an early impression with its investment in Instagram in 2012, with Facebook acquiring the company shortly thereafter.

The firm has established a successful track record investing in technology businesses whether at start-up level or in later stages of growth.

It has achieved outsized returns from its incubation programme, generating business concepts in-house and building management teams around them. Its close relationships with these companies allow it to take large stakes in the promising companies of tomorrow through successive equity financings. This has led to strong returns for the funds over time.
