RIT publishes FY 2025 Private Investments Overview
RIT’s investment manager J. Rothschild Capital Management has today published a presentation on RIT’s Private Investments portfolio for the year ended 31 December 2025.
This investment pillar returned 18.3% overall in 2025 and 47.4% return in Direct Investments. Our specialist fund partners also contributed positively, returning 10.2% in 2025. Key drivers of performance included realisations from our investments across favoured technology themes including artificial intelligence.
We believe our edge is our network, which includes longstanding relationships with leading managers, which have given us access to some of the world’s largest private companies – investment opportunities typically unavailable to the individual investor. For example, we increased our interest in SpaceX, now our largest private direct position, and our exposure to AI infrastructure with new positions in Anthropic, the company behind the large language model Claude, and Databricks.
